Bantea, CambodiaPosted by Aidan Hammond (Seoul, South Korea) on 3 November 2006 in Architecture and Portfolio. These white trees are called silk cotton trees. They are one fo the most easily recognizable images of the Angkor Temples. They are destructive in the sense that they do pull and move the bricks and stones of the temple. But some argue that they also help preserve the temples by serving as a form of scafolding.
