Gwanak Mountain, Seoul, KoreaPosted by Aidan Hammond (Seoul, South Korea) on 19 December 2006 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Seoul had its first proper snow a few days ago. In the morning, I woke up to find this scene outside my apartment window. I adjusted some of the levels to bring out the different tones in the foreground, forest and the fog. Many of the black and white photos that I have been working out have involved separating out different tonal areas for correction. I find that this is allowing me to really have the control of the picture taking process that I have been looking for. Now that I look at this after it has been uploaded, I notice that the JPEG conversion has blown out some of the detail in the fog at the top.
