One of the ways that temples raise money is throughthe donation of temple tiles. Donors purchase a temple tile and then write a message, prayer, or wish on the underside. Later, the tiles will be used to re-fit the roof.
The quantity of tiles used on a roof is surprising, requiring the roof to be supported by a series of posts and beams.
