I have never been happy with the title "Hands" for this series. Through a conversation with someone about these photos, I realized that that the concept of waiting better describes the subjects. Here in Korea it is the beginning of the Lunar New Year. It is a time when everyone makes trips to their family to pay respects and worship ancestors. Many people purchase large boxes of fruit and brings these to the home they are visiting. Traditionally, gifts are wrapped in a wrapping cloth called bo-ja-gi. I am going to be away for a few days travelling. The next few photos are the same subject, but taken from different perspectives and with different crops. I would be interested to hear your opinions on the choices. Thank you.
Happy Lunar New Year to you all.
-Aidan

Wonderful caption - yes 'waiting' is a good idea. The gathering of the cloth is wonderful, and your pp is always so soft. How do you do it?

Did you do something special to get these soft delicate tones? Soft diffused flash perhaps?

@Twelvebit: Actually, most of the work was done in photoshop through using soem image adjustment layers and selective blurring. The faabric of the wrapping, however, is a synthetic fabric which reflects light, so it does make for an interesting subject to photograph.
