This shot was taken on a hot hot day; another image where the experience of taking it is etched in my memory; I think I was wanting for a cold drink at the point I took this picture. This was taken down the street a bit from the shot from yesterday. After a few blocks the street changed from absolute chaos to something a bit more sedate. Vernacular housing has always intrigued me; I like the way the form follows the function and available space. Throughout my time in Beijing my father kept remarking at the number of telephone (or electrical) wires that were everywhere. I smiled because I know that in Vietnam the number of wires is far greater.
